World War Two saw lots of carnage and death in various places around the world. Finland saw itself fighting Stalin’s overwhelming Red Army and courageously with its Mannerheim line of defenses withstood for a time the Soviet’s savagery. One great instance was the Winter War whereby the Finns decimated unnecessarily tens of thousands of Russian soldiers. So freaking many people that the Finns still have regrets about the whole affair. Even though they were being invaded by the USSR, as human beings they feel Bad about All THOSE dead soldier’s souls hence the Rocks, about 20 thousand honoring the Dead. Rest in peace!
